We always talk about those ” three little words” but what if there were four?

heres mine..

L-liberal
O-outrageous
V-vehemence
E-everlasting

Liberal-given freely or abundantly.

When you truley love someone.. you give this love without even thinking about it. You would give anything for that person to feel no pain, to never spend a second of their day with a bad thought in their head and without a smile on their face. There is no limit to the amount of love you will give this person. You would even live without them in your life if it would make them happy.

Outrageous-extravagant; remarkable:

True love is nothing less than outrageous. It is completely consuming and life changing. There are no bounds to true love.

Vehemence- intensity or forcefulness of expression

Everlasting-. lasting or continuing for an indefinitely long time

True love doesn’t die. If you hear someone say this, they are lying. Sometimes life gets in the way of this true love but that doesn’t make it go away. When you truly love someone, you love them forever. No matter what hand of cards life deals you, that feeling does not go away. And yes you can truly love more than one person… but I will promise you that each love will be completely different. No love is the same and there are room in our hearts for an endless amount of love.

True love isn’t all butterflies and flowers. Its unexpected and scary. The scariest part of it is the unkown.
The beginning of every love story is intense… its not knowing what the other is thinking.
Its a mystery (check out the Indigo Girls Song.. mystery) .
Its longing for them without being able to tell them how you feel yet wanting to scream it out on the rooftops. Trust me, It will get better. Just wait.

The key to love is not letting your pride get in the way…. Tell them how you feel at all times, no matter what the outcome of the situation is.
Dont give up… Every person is different.
Just because they might not react like you want them to right away doesn’t mean they don’t care.. they just haven’t learned how to get over their pride just yet.
Breathe. . . The road will get curvier before you hit the long stretch of highway, and even then, nothing is guarenteed. If you remember to keep breathing long deep breaths, it will subdue some of the anxiety.
Stop fighting it. The longer you fight the feelings and try to act like they don’t exist, the longer you will be unahppy. Its almost like puragatory. Think about it.

Love them with every breath you have, with every bone in your body, with every prayer you give to the Lord above. Love them whether they love you back, and love them just for the sake of loving. There will be a time when this love is what helps them through something unimaginably hard. Be brave and selfless. There is nothing selfish about love. It gives without thinking and receives with open arms, hearts and minds.

At the end of the day, what matters the most to you? What compells you to be a better person? What is at the core of every human being on the face of this earth? One word. LOVE.

Welcome to the crazy world of Brinn-Heather Thomas Black…(yes thats my full name if you were wondering) haha.. anywho..

Before I start going Blog Crazy, you should probably know a little bit about myself..

I am 21 years old, I’m a Taurus (May 4th, 1897)..I’m from the small town of Chester Va. I was born in Miami Florida and lived there ’till I was 8. Although Miami is great, Chester is my home. You don’t really appreciate growing up there until you leave. That little place within the 9 mile diameter gets stir crazy, BUT when you leave you really do miss all the wonderful things you can only do at home.

I moved to Nashville when I was 18 and started writing songs. I completely fell in love with it and realized It was a passion I never knew I had. I always wanted to move to Nashville and be a singer, thinking I’d sing other peoples songs. I was wrong. 3 months after I moved here I wrote my first song and was changed forever! In the past 3 years I have recorded and released an EP, and had my songs played all over the US and even in Belgium! I would have NEVER dreamed that all this would happen like it has but I am so thankful that it has!

I am constantly writing and working my butt off.. I cant express how much I love my friends and family for being so flexible with my schedule. They are quite amazing!

My ultimate goal in life is that I can impact the world of one person through my music. Everything after that is an added bonus. Music was my refuge growing up and if I can help change someone’s life for the better in any way… I have succeeded in my book.

Aside from the music. I am a pretty normal girl. I have a good head on my shoulders (if I do say so myself haha)
I loooove traveling. One of my goals in life is to hit every 50 states by the time I am 28.. I’ve got 26 so far.. not bad huh?

I also love shopping.. sale shopping to be exact. Vintage and thrift stores are my weakness. My friend Caroline thinks that they must know before I come in because I always find the coolest stuff! I think I just need to teach her how to dig through sale racks better

I have such an amazing family. We have some crazy stories but we love each other more than anything and thats all that matters. My mom and my grandma are my heros. I hope one day I will be half the women they are!

I have a a son.. his name is Thurman.. and he’s a dog. haha he’s half maltese and half shitzhu and I am obsessively in love with him. He is a miracle in himself <3

I am a hopeless romantic, but I write alot of songs about breakups. I think all songwriters have to be hopeless romantics in some way. If it weren’t for us sappy people, there would be no love songs out there!

I have these moments.. we like to call them “Brinn-isms”.. for example.. one time I accidently threw my cell phone off of a balcony during a play at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.. and it almost hit an old lady in the head.. yeaaahhh stuff like that happens all the time to me, so ill keep you posted!

Overall, Im just a girl from a small town in Virginia that loves life and everything about it. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, good or bad, we all learn from it!
